Should SN15's test campaign conclude without mishap, SN16 is cleared to fly by the FAA. It is in the final stage of construction, fully stacked in the highbay on 30 April 2021 (Nomadd). The first part spotted was the common dome section on 5 December 2020 (NSF Mary).
Manufacturing notes completed below to the best of my knowledge.
Sections
Common dome section
The common dome, sleeved in its tri barrel, was being prepared for flipping on 5 December 2020 (NSF Mary).
Mid LOX section
Mid LOX barrel (unstrung) spotted "SN-16 MID-LOX" 5 January (NSF Mary). It emerged from Tent 1 on 11 April, bedecked with 960 heat tiles (Mary).
Forward dome section
Forward dome sleeved 8 January (NSF Mary).
Nose section
The fairing/nose quad was seen in the ringyard outside tent 2 on 1 February - not yet reinforced with stringers (NSF Mary). It was seen again on 28 March at the lowbay next to a nosecone (NSF Mary, 📹 NSF) then moved to near the Propulsion Building as seen in RGV Aerial Photography's flyover on 8 April and from the roadside on 12 April (Starship Gazer).
The nosecone eventually confirmed for SN16 was seen in tent 3 on 24 March (NSF Mary). It had received main aerocovers and flaps by 22 April and on 24 April its RCS thrusters were fired before stacking (LabPadre).
The nosecone was lifted onto the fairing on 26 April (LabPadre).
Leg skirt / aft skirt
The aft skirt was photographed with legs deployed, labelled "SN 16 LEG SKIRT" on 4 February (NSF Mary).
Thrust dome / aft dome section
The thrust dome section emerged from a tent on 8 February (NSF Mary). It was photographed labelled "SN# SN16 Section: AFT DOME SKIRT WO# 1473713" on 10 February (NSF Mary).
Stacks
Aft 5-ring stack
The thrust dome section was stacked on the leg skirt on 11 February - photographed behind the lowbay (NSF Mary). It was seen out the front of Tent 1 on 24 March (NSF Mary), and moved into the midbay for stacking on 20 April (NSF Mary).
Mid 7-ring stack
The common dome section was stacked on the Mid LOX section in the midbay on 13 April (NSF Nomadd).
Mid 11-ring stack
At 8am on 15 April on Sentinel Cam a quad was lifted high into the midbay - later apparent to be SN16's forward dome section getting stacked on the mid 7 (NSF Nomadd).
Aft 16-ring stack / main stack / tank stack
The mid 11 stack was lifted onto the aft 5 to create the main stack on 20 April (NSF Nomadd). It received at least its left aerocover before moving to the highbay on 30 April - a journey on which it was seen to have large heat tile patches on both its common and mid LOX sections (LabPadre).
Finishing touches
SN16 was fully stacked in the highbay on 30 April 2021 (Nomadd). At least the left aft flap was attached on 5 May (NSF livestream) and the right one was spotted on 7 May (Ulmo).
